    • DragonForce Hits the Stage in Mexico

DragonForce is a melodic driven power metal band with an energetic video game influenced sound. The band just released their fourth album “Ultra Beatdown” in August of 2008.The single from this album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Metal Performance Category. Many predict this band will go from being internationally known to world-wide phenomenon status.

    • Flex Takes 8 Latin Billboard Awards

      The Panamenian DJ and singer better known as Flex, propelled by the runaway success of his hit single "Te Quiero," was the big winner at the 2009 Billboard Latin Music awards presented by State Farm Insurance on April 23. Flex took home eight awards, including hot Latin song of the year, Latin ringmaster of the year and hot Latin song of the year, male.

      Flex's multiple wins as a newcomer were all the more remarkable in a sea of established acts. Flex is best known for his Reggaeton single, "Te Quiero" (Spanish for "I love you"), from his debut album of the same name. Both the song and the album went to number one on Billboard magazine's Hot Latin Tracks and Top Latin Albums charts, respectively, in the United States. On the Billboard Hot 100, the song reached #86.

      If you take Latin urban and mixing bomba, plena, Salsa, meringue, Latin pop, cumbia, bachata, along with some dancehall, reggae and a little rap (English and Spanish), throw in some electronica for good measure and you have Alex y Fido, also known affectionately as Los Pitbulls.

      With their new release, “Down to Earth,” the duo continues their campaign of musical world domination. Flying under the musical radar for a few years, they have come into their own garnering two Latin Grammy nominations in 2008. Integrating their native Puerto Rican experiences, (Alex was born in Cidra and Fido in Cayey), the two have expanded their musical territory -- from the neighborhoods of New York City to the barrios of South America.
